What is a Data Processing Agreement?
A Data Processing Agreement (DPA) is a legally binding agreement between a data controller and a data processor. The purpose is to ensure that personal data is processed in accordance with the GDPR and other relevant legislation.

Why do we have a Data Processing Agreement?
As a SaaS provider, we act as a data processor for our customers, who are the data controllers for their employees’ and users’ personal data. Our Data Processing Agreement ensures that we process data securely and lawfully in accordance with our customers’ instructions.

Contents of our Data Processing Agreement
Our Data Processing Agreement covers the following areas:

  • Purpose and scope: The agreement describes what data we process and for what purpose.

  • Security measures: We describe the technical and organizational measures we have implemented to protect data.

  • Disclosure and sub-processors: We state if and how data may be disclosed to third parties (e.g., sub-processors).

  • Deletion and return of data: How we handle data upon termination of the collaboration.

  • Rights and obligations: Both we as the data processor and our customers as data controllers have rights and obligations.

How do I accept the Data Processing Agreement?
By using our services, you accept our standard Data Processing Agreement.

If your organization has special requirements, we can discuss adjustments within the legal framework.

Intect encourages you to review the agreement regularly to stay updated on any changes.
