The founding of Intect
Intect was founded back in the spring of 2016 with the aim of creating a payroll system that supported simple as well as complex payroll conditions, regardless of company size and industry. And the system had to allow for a greater degree of flexibility than the existing providers on the market.

Payroll should be understandable - and efficient
Since the founding we have continuously worked to make payroll something everyone can understand, which is reflected among other things in our intuitive payslips and our efficient handling of complex payroll conditions. In 2020 Intect changed its name (previously Gratisal) to create a closer relationship between the product we offer and the brand we want to reflect.

What does “Intect” mean?
First and foremost, the name “Intect” represents - and encapsulates - our four core competencies; innovation, integration, insight and tech. On top of that, you may already have noticed that Intect sounds unmistakably like indtægt, the Danish word for income - which is exactly what we work with: handling income.

Part of ECIT
In 2019 Intect became part of ECIT, a finance and IT group with Nordic roots and more than 3,000 employees across 11 countries. ECIT is particularly strong in payroll administration, and their consultants work on a daily basis with every facet of payroll administration for customers with anywhere from 5 to 2,000 employees. These consultants have a great deal of relevant experience and unique knowledge, which is used in the development of Intect.
